The R•50 shares the same list of features and components of the RC•50 with exceptions to the power train and machine controls.

Both machines use pilot-operated hydraulic joystick controls. The R•50 controls use the “Case” control pattern, whereas the RC•50 uses the same pattern as the RC•30 and Caterpillar® Skid Steer Loaders. Operators with a preference can now choose the machine that best fits their needs.

Powering the R•50 is the Perkins 404C-22 - a 2.2 liter diesel engine that delivers a robust 50 hp/37.3 kW. This four cylinder Perkins engine, like the RC•50’s Cat 3024C, delivers smooth, reliable power. The R•50 does not include the Posi-PowerTM feature found only on the RC•50.

Operating specifications for the R•50 are the same as the RC•50.
