100 Series

Family Description

The 100 Series is a range of two, three and four cylinder diesel engines, fully proven in the agricultural equipment sector.  Previously Made in Japan for Perkins by ISM, the demand for 100 Series engines has been such that from 1996 they will also be produced in Peterborough by Perkins Shibaura Engines Ltd, a joint venture company within the Perkins Group.  This will enable even higher levels of customer service.

900 Series

Family Description

New to the agricultural market, the 900 Series is a naturally aspirated, direct injection, heavy duty diesel which will replace Perkins own legendary D3.152.  Retaining all the cost and packaging benefits of natural aspiration, 900 Series meet stage 1 off-highway emissions proposals now, well ahead of implementation.  With over 4.5 million 3 cylinder predecessors proving their worth, the 3.152 was undoubtedly the benchmark heavy duty 3 cylinder diesel.  But now 900 Series beats the best.

1000 Series

Family Description

A true family of naturally aspirated, turbocharged and turbo - aftercooled, four stroke, direct injection diesel engines.  Well proven and popular in the agricultural sector, 1000 Series engines are the first choice for many of the worlds leading equipment manufacturers.  1000 Series engines now benefit from the latest technology for tractor operations - Dual Zone Torque rise.

1300 Series

Family Description

Two swept volumes in a common profile, the new 1300 Series engines are Perkins' response to market demands for greater productivity and lower running costs in the mid-range sector.  The 1300 Series is an all turbocharged range with air to air intercooling at 186kW and above.  A choice of 16 ratings, plus a wide range of options and a compact design, facilitates simple fitment into farm machine installations.

  • Roller cam followers and a wet liner design are typical of the large engine durability features, now brought to mid range sector.
  • 450 hour oil drain and filter change period along with simple servicing routines, enhance any machine's earning potential.

2000 Series

Family Description

This lightweight, compact, 12 litre, all turbocharged range has a deserved reputation for outstanding economy and reliability in both static and mobile off-highway applications.  The latest 2000e Series engines are emissions compliant to Euro 1 on -highway (91/542/EEC) and proposed stage1 off-highway legislation and EC agricultural tractor regulations.
