This tough 6-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel, is the ideal power plant for higher torque productivity for construction, with high torque rise and dual zone torque ratings for tractor use.

• With over 7.5 million 4 and 6 litre predecessors sold, the New 1000 Series has an excellent pedigree of reliability.  Now a completely new cylinder head, a higher efficiency cooling system, stronger structure, total containment of fluids and gases with better starting at even lower temperatures makes this engine the new benchmark of reliability

• Building on the proven reputation of the original 1000 Series this new generation is designed to give at least 12,000 productive hours service life - an increase of 50 per cent, before needing a basic overhaul.

• Specifically designed to satisfy stage 1 off-highway emissions legislation around the world, the New 1000 Series engines go further for the operator and the environment by also operating free from visible smoke throughout their operational speed range.  Cleaner, and quieter too; previously acknowledged as one of the quietest engines available, the new range is now up to 3 dBA quieter than before.

• with a near identical profile and similar hook-up points the New 1000 Series engines will provide a seamless changeover to emissions compliant product.  For the user, stage 1 emissions have been met without compromising the previously excellent economy.
