Advanced design with in-depth strength

The robust front axles, latest generation engines, heavy duty Dynashift transmission and high-capacity powershift transmissions are all designed to work together to handle your most demanding jobs.

NEW - Dynatorque engines
All the engines feature Dynatorque power that dramatically increases torque as engine speeds are pulled down under load. This reduces the need to downshift and improves fuel economy and output. It also increases reliability and comfort by smoothing operations that can stress tractors, implements, and operators.

NEW - Massey Ferguson Modular rear axles
The modular rear axles house large oil-cooled disc brakes and heavy-duty planetaries for fade-free stopping power and great durability.

A touch of a button simultaneously engages both front and rear differential locks for maximum traction at all times. The Hydralock front differential lock on MF 8220 to MF 8260 models ensures fast, 100% engagement and disengagement of the differential with no slippage or loss of power.

The MF8270 and MF 8280 models utilize an all new limited slip front axle differential for efficient power transfer.

4-wheel drive
The front-wheel drive axles are designed for heavy use with loaders and other front-mounted equipment. The conter-line drive shafts provide excellent ground clearance, low power losses and high reliability.

To easy your workload, Massey Ferguson transmission controllers automatically activate differential locks and four-wheel drive at appropriate times.

Load-sensing hydraulics
All MF 8200 Series models come with closed-center, load-sensing hydraulics. Flow and pressure are automatically regulated to match job demand. As a result, the oil flow of 29 gpm (110 lpm), or optional 39 gpm (147 lpm), is instantly available to give fast linkage and implement responses.

Power take-off
Two-speed, fully independent systems on MF 8220-8250 models provide either 540 or 1000 rpm by interchanging shafts. The MF 8260 - 8280 tractors feature 1000 rpm systems.

Transmission controllers regulate engagement of the PTO clutch to protect your tractor and implements from damage caused by overloads and improper engagement.
