Thanks to their category II and IIIN 3-point hitches with Electronic Lift Control (ELC), and rear axles rated for the highest lift capacity in the industry, Massey Ferguson 6400 Series tractors are ready to take on planters, cultivators, mowers and just about anything else that comes their way. Add factory installed optional front linkage, with its 4,850-pound lifting capacity and choice of control by mechanical remote, electro-hydraulic RMS or cab-mounted rocker switch, and the possibilities are even more exciting.

The ELC system gives you a choice of draft sensing mode for quick response to changing field conditions, or position control mode for maintaining a steady height or depth.

Whether you're cultivating, mowing or grading, ELC is easy to use and adjust for quick customization, with rotary controls to the rear of the right console and a rocker switch on the right armrest.

If you'd rather make an equipment change or adjustment form the ground, there's a handy fender-mounted switch. When it's time for transport over rough ground or less-than-ideal roads, just use the transport lock to secure an implement in the "up" position, letting the hydraulic rams absorb shocks.

540 / 1000 & ECONOMY PTO

For the ultimate in versatility and efficiency, MF 6400 Series tractors include independent PTO with 540 and 1000 rpm and an optional economy speed. Economy PTO allows a 23% reduction in engine speed (from 2000 to 1550 rpm) for equipment that doesn't demand maximum horsepower which means less fuel consumption, noise and vibration. A digital PTO speed display in the dashboard adds the precision of matching PTO speeds to engine rpms. If you need to disengage the PTO clutch quickly from the outside the tractor, look no further than the fender mounted exterior switch.

To help double the potential of your MF 6400 Series tractor, an optional electro-hydraulically-engaged front PTO with a 1000 rpm shaft is also available.
