Every 400 Series tractor boasts dependable Ferguson system hydraulics that out-pump other tractors in its class. That means you get plenty of pushing, pulling and lifting power for front loaders or rear-mounted equipment, so you can take on any job on your list. And for all its versatility, the 400 Series is packed with features you'd expect to find only on larger tractors. Two spool valves are standard on 400 Series tractors. The three-point hitch assembly features standard telescopic stabilizer bars. And lift capacity at link ends is as much as 4,630 pounds for the MF 471 and 481.

Ferguson Linkage System

The Ferguson 3-point linkage and hydraulics system invented by Harry Ferguson has been copied on nearly every modern tractor, yet is sitll unsurpassed for its combination of simple reliability, efficiency, productivity, and implenment accuracy and control. Your mounted implemnets and MF 400 Series tractor form a rigid unit to keep the front wheels firmly on the ground where they belong, and provide extra down forces on the rear wheels to reduce wheel slippage.

Two spool valves come standard on the MF 400 Series tractors.	Hydraulic selector valve combines the flow from the 3-point linkage pump with the auxiliary hydraulic pump for faster operation of loaders and other hydraulically operated implements.	Three-point hitch draft and position control levers are located to the right of the operator for convenient operation.
