1. HIGH CAPACITY STARTS HERE
Feeding the new
ATR requires a feederhouse that is up to the task. A 44”(117 mm)
feederhouse on
the MF 9690 and a
55” (1,397 mm) feederhouse on the big MF 9790 ensure crop is delivered to
the
rotor quickly,
smoothly, and uniformly. We’ve equipped the feeder-house to endure a long
service
life using #557
chain with chrome pins to resist wear. And here’s a timesaving feature you
won’t find
on all other
combines. Chain slats are bolted on, not riveted, for easy, quick
replacement.
2. NEW FRONT BEATER DESIGN
The redesigned and
patented front beater features helical vanes to provide a smooth, gentle,
yet
positive
engagement of the crop mass. Compared to other designs, the new front
beater offers
quieter operation,
better feeding across a wide range of crops, improved grain quality, and
improved
straw quality. The
orientation of the beater is unique to the Massey Ferguson combine design
as
well. Because crop
is delivered to the rotor from underneath, as opposed to the front as in
competitive
designs, the
entire 360 degrees of the rotor is open to accept crop, providing an
unrestricted,
uniform flow of
crop to boost capacity and improve threshing performance.
3. MAX FLOW CLEANING FAN
A newly designed,
multi-blade cleaning fan operates over a wide range of speeds and provides
not
only superior air
volume, but also superior air distribution compared to other fan types.
Higher
cleaning capacity,
unmatched grain sample quality, and a cleaning system that is more
forgiving and
easier to set is
the result.
4. MATCHED CLEANING CAPACITY
The cleaning shoe
of the MF 9690 and MF 9790 is matched to the high capacity of the
machines’
feeding,
threshing, and separating systems. The reciprocating grain pan begins the
cleaning process
by stratifying
crop material. Heavier grain settles to the bottom to easily pass through
the adjustable
chaffer, while the
lighter trash and residue rises to the top to be easily separated by the
pre-cleaning
air blast as the
material is conveyed to the chaffer. This boosts cleaning capacity and
reduces
complexity and
damage to grain when compared to transfer auger systems, which cause
increased
grain damage and
effectively mix the grain and residue, reducing the capacity of the
cleaning
system. And,
thanks to newly designed cleaning shoe motion, capacity is maintained in
the highest
yielding crops.
5. ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ROTOR (ATR)
The new ATR sets a
new standard in rotary combine performance. Thanks to features such as the
longest rotor in
the industry, full 360-degree feeding capacity, new cylinder bar design
and orientation,
direct discharge
design, and rotor adaptability, the ATR provides astonishing new levels of
capacity
and performance,
even in the toughest conditions. What’s more, the ATR can leave quality
straw for
baling
–flexibility you don’t expect or get with any other rotary. All this, plus
standard long-life
features like
hard-surfaced rotor intake flighting and chrome cylinder bars that cost
extra or are not
available on other
combines.
6. EXCLUSIVE ROTOR DRIVE SYSTEM
Only the new MF
9000 Series rotary combines offer a revolutionary, constant-speed
hydrostatic rotor
drive system. The
selected rotor speed is automatically maintained, regardless of
fluctuations in
engine speed and
crop flow, resulting in uniform threshing and separation. Unlike other
rotary
designs, there are
no clutches or belts to drive the rotor, adding to the unmatched
simplicity of the
MF combine.
Operating through 2 speed ranges, only the Massey Ferguson rotary combines
feature
full power rotor
reversing capability. No need to leave the comfort of the cab. No special
tools. At
the touch of a
button, the rotor pulses forward or reverse to quickly clear lodged or
damp material,
saving time and
operator stress. |
