CLEANING SYSTEM

GOES GENTLE ON THE GRAIN

Both the MF 9690 and MF 9790 models feature a whopping 300-bushel grain tank with extensions that quickly and conveniently fold down for reduced transport or storage height – no tools required. The large grain tank improves field efficiency because fewer unloading system cycles are required. The turret-style unloading system offers exceptional ground clearance and convenience for unloading operations. Unloading rate is 2.2 bushels per second.

WIDER “SWEET SPOT”

Every combine has its “sweet spot,” where concaves, sieves, cleaning fan, and other components are set for optimum harvesting. With the MF 9000 Series, this sweet spot has a much wider range than most other combines. Also, the MF 9000 Series machines are easily adjusted when going from crop to crop. If you harvest a variety of crops, all with the same combine, look no further than the new MF 9000 Series.

THESE AREN’T YOUR FATHER’S HYDRAULICS

All 9000 Series combines have the latest in closed-center, load-sensing hydraulic system technology. This technology has become popular in today’s tractors but Massey Ferguson was among the first manufacturers to put these advanced hydraulics into combines. With older hydraulic systems, pumps continuously pump oil —whether it’s needed or not. MF’s advanced, load-sensing hydraulic systems pump only the oil that’s needed to save you fuel, lower heat levels, and reduce wear.

PANNING FOR GOLD

The cascade cleaning system operates directly under the rotor to gently clean separated grain. A new reciprocating grain pan makes “panning for gold” a reality, because the crop falls gently from the rotor onto the grain pan where it is shaken and cleaned by a steady, even airflow.

MAX-FLOW CLEANING FAN PRODUCES STEADY AIRFLOW

As separated grain moves off of the grain pan, the chaff is removed by a steady, even flow of air from the new cleaning fan. This design keeps an even airflow throughout the entire grain cleaning area to increase cleaning effectiveness — another improvement over competitive models, which use fans that draw air from the ends, creating dead spots in the center of the shoe. This advanced cleaning system improves combine capacity and produces a cleaner grain sample – all with a simple design and durable, long-lasting components.
